Flocy Joseph, PhD
Programme Director, Executive Development
Dr Flocy Joseph joined SMU in 2012 with the Human Capital Leadership Institute as the country lead for India, servicing the Indian MNCs. Her role encompasses designing, delivering and facilitating executive development programmes for industry-specific and customised programmes for the university’s tier corporate clients. She earned her PhD in Responsible Leadership at SMU.
Dr Flocy is a certified trainer in delivering the Global Mindset Inventory and the Facet 5 personality tools. Joseph has authored various case studies on leadership, some of which have been published to global recognition. She has also led a research paper on “Cultural Transformation in the Digital World”, authored an award-winning paper on “Beta Leadership” and co-authored the book Living the Corporate Purpose: Insights from Companies in Asia.
Tan Hwee Hoon, PhD
Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources; Steering Committee Chair, Business Families Institute; Course Coordinator, Management of People at Work
Dr Tan Hwee Hoon is Associate Professor with SMU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Business. Her research focuses on interpersonal trust within organisations and across cultures. In addition to an active research agenda, Assoc Prof Tan is also actively involved in Executive Teaching, both in English and Chinese. She has trained for major profit and non-profit organisations around the region such Aurecon, BCA (Indonesia), Barclays, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, Civil Service College (Singapore), Hyfiux, Johnson and Johnson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs-Singapore and ASEAN, Servier, the SingTel group, the SingHealth Academy, Singapore Airlines, Sumitomo Chemicals, IMC Corp, International SOS, among others.
Assoc Prof Tan consults for organisations such as the Singapore Tourism Board, IE Singapore and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and currently sits on the Practices Committee of the Institute of Human Resource Professionals (IHRP), Singapore. She has been published in many international journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Human Relations and many others. She was also the Asia-Pacific Editor of the Journal of World Business from 2000-2004 and currently sits on the review board of Journal of Management.
Tanvi Gautam, PhD

Dr Tanvi Gautam, Founder Leadershift Inc, works with firms across the globe to create more authentic, engaged and inclusive leaders and work cultures. She is on the board of ARTDO international and an invited member to the elite leadership think tank of The Corporate Executive Board Company, the US-based leadership transition institute.
Her list of clients include Microsoft, Exxon, Dell, Medtronics, TNT, Accenture, and Verizon. Dr Tanvi is a recipient of the Game Changer 2014 award by Workforce Magazine, the change leaders of tomorrow award by the Asian Thought leadership conference, as well as recognized as Top 10 HR influencers on Social media by SHRM-I. Recognised as one of the women HR leaders to reckon with by the Business Manager magazine, her views on creating the workplace of tomorrow have been quoted and published by international forums such as Harvard Business Review, Forbes.com, Business Times and Economic Times. She is one of less than 100 certified story coaches worldwide using this powerful medium for transformational leadership. Dr Tanvi also acts as an executive coach to leadership teams and is the founder of the WISER network.
The programme comprises 8 modules. Each module is led by an SMU faculty expert with field experience specific to the topics discussed.

Build your knowledge of the cyberattack life cycle, common software vulnerabilities leading to cyber attacks, the different phases of risk management, good hygiene practices in software security, and how to identify different elements of threat identification and prioritisation.
Analyse agile leadership and agile methods, construct an agile item, and build trust among team members to achieve the set goals.
Describe how the new technology-mediated normal at work, examine the challenges faced by the employees during transitions, develop empathy to create more positive impacts, apply the PERMA model at work to improve the well-being of employees, and demonstrate empathetic leadership to effectively manage chronic workplace stress.
Explain who the stakeholders are and how to manage and effectively engage with them, create a stakeholder heat map to identify the key stakeholders, conduct a pre-mortem of a project and plan for counter-actions to engage with the stakeholders, and analyse the Stakeholder Paradox.
